My Thoughts

If you're like me and have dietary restrictions that keep you from enjoying your favorite treats, THESE eat G.A.N.G.S.T.E.R. baking mixes are the product for you. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to eat brownies, cookies, and bread that actually taste delicious and don't crumble in my hands like most gluten-free things do. The name comes from the ingredients (or lack of ingredients) they use:

G.rain FREE

A.lmond & Peanut FREE

N.ightshade FREE

G.luten FREE

S.oy & Seed FREE

T.aste FUL

E.gg & Dairy FREE

R.eal FOOD

Fun, right?!

How Have I Tested?

I have tried almost all of these baking mixes and have really liked everything I've tried. They're so easy to make with just a baking mix and 2-4 common ingredients (depending on which mix you choose). You mix, cook, and enjoy. Super simple. The only problem I have is I can't stop eating them!

Here are my favorites:

Pros and Cons

PROS:

Easy and convenient: Just use the premeasured mix and a few common ingredients, mix, and bake

Healthy: I can't have rice or almonds so most gluten-free treats are out of my reach. eat G.A.N.G.S.T.E.R. uses Tigernut Flour (not a nut) and real food ingredients in all of their mixes.

Allergy-Friendly: Free from grains, almonds & peanuts, nightshades, gluten, soy & seeds, dairy, and eggs. The pancake & waffle mixes, and the pizza dough & flatbread mixes are also vegan. The brownies are also chocolate-free, but don't taste like it.

Restrictive Diet-Friendly: I follow the AIP diet so these are a great convenient snack for me. They're also good for those following a Paleo, Celiac, gluten-free, and dairy-free diet.

Versitile: Most of the mixes can be used for multiple baked goods. There's a muffin or cake mix, a flatbread or pizza dough mix, a pancake or waffle mix, and with a tweak to the ingredients the brownie mix can be made as a cookie. Their website also has tons of ways to use their mixes for pie crusts, spring tarts, waffle cones, and much more. Check out their recipes!

CONS: These baking mixes are a little more expensive than the cookies, muffins, and pancake mixes you pick up at the grocery store, but that's just par for the course for healthier, clean food items. I promise it's worth it to have enjoy these wonderful treats again.

Final Words

I would highly recommend giving these allergy-friendly baking mixes a try. They make great breakfasts, desserts, and snacks, are perfect for lunchbox meal prep or an after-school treat, and the kids will love them and not know they're healthy!
